Introduction
As I reflect back on my journey through the Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship) course over the past 2 years I am amazed at how my knowledge has expanded to open up the vast world of teacher-librarianship, and my experiences have developed to mold myself into an (almost) confident leader. Most of all, my perception of what a teacher librarian is and what we can do for the school environment has advanced to a level that leaves me anticipating the chance to put it all into action in my own career as a school librarian. The knowledge, experiences, and perceptions I graduate with now all stemmed from pivotal learning points discovered throughout the subjects of the masters program – the importance of collaboration, the significance of information literacy, the necessity for collection management, and finally how all these aspects come together to collectively meet user needs.
